What Is The Difference Between A Turnkey Job And A Building-only Job?
Turnkey jobs involve contracting out certain aspects of the building process to qualified vendors. This ensures every step of the process, from the building itself to plumbing, concrete slab, interior wall panels, etc is handled by a professional specializing in that field. On the other hand, a building-only job is just the sale of the steel building, but we can help with any service that may be associated with the construction of your metal building.
** Maverick Steel Buildings does not provide turnkey solutions. However, our expert team can assist our clients in connecting with qualified contractors across the Southeast.
Can I Take My Building With Me If I Move?
Some buildings may be suitable to move depending on the local building codes, region, and climate of the place you are moving to. Most likely, however, if you are moving to a place with a different climate, the structure of the building will not be sustainable in that new climate. We recommend purchasing a new building if you are relocating to a vastly different climate to guarantee a sound structure and good quality building!
Can I Erect The Building Kit Myself?
While a pre-engineered custom-designed building kit is much simpler to erect than a standard stick-built wooden structure – most folks do not have the available manpower and experience to construct the building on their own. We recommend hiring a contractor to construct your metal building to ensure it is done safely and efficiently.
Does My Steel Building Kit Come With Anchor Bolts?
It is considered a best practice to set the anchor bolts when the foundation for your steel building is poured. This ensures that your site is ready to go once your building kit arrives at the location. Our clients appreciate the 4x faster turnaround on drawings because they can begin the grading and concrete process more quickly.
How Big Is A Standard Aircraft Hangar?
The size of the aircraft hangar you choose will greatly depend on the number of aircraft you wish to store. However, the most common building size for airplane storage is 50’x60’ for a single aircraft and 240’x250’ for a multi-craft hangar. Maverick Steel Buildings 100% American steel buildings provide clear span framing ideal for airplane storage.

The roof’s pitch, otherwise known as roof angle, is determined by the number of inches it rises vertically for every 12 inches it reaches horizontally. For example, a roof that rises 7 inches for every 12 inches of the horizontal run has a 7/12, or 30.26°, roof pitch.
What Gauge Steel Is The Steel Frame?
Maverick Steel Buildings provides two gauge options for your building’s steel frame. 14-gauge steel is the industry-standard as well as the nationally accepted gauge for carport and metal structures. Our 12 gauge framing has a greater tensile strength that grants higher snow load and wind speed ratings.
Do I Need Permit To Build A Steel Structure On My Land?

However, it is always recommended that you contact your local permitting office to learn more about the requirements for your location.
